A short 15 minute drive will bring you onto the A65 which is the main artery to the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Timble may be tiny but is wonderfully situated for reaching all the surrounding towns, villages and cities. You will probably experience great difficulty in choosing where to go and what to do but we hope the brief selection below will give you a start!

It's lovely getting out and about in such a beautiful and interesting area but should you choose to stay more local you will find lots to occupy you. There are many walks and trails from your doorstep - no car needed! Perfect for gentle to the more challenging hikes. Great for cycling too - the whole area was fantastically shown off during the Tour De France a couple of years ago!
The Swinsty and Fewston reservoirs are just a 5 minute walk down Back Lane and are ideal for walking, picnics and fishing. Hopefully the above suggestions can tempt you a little!
